Frequently Asked Questions

If you have a question that isn't listed here, come in and see the team - They would be happy to help!

Regular cleaning is essential to keep your pool in great shape. It's typically recommended to clean your pool at least once a week, but this may vary depending on the size of your pool and how much debris it collects.

Regular water testing is the best way to ensure your pool's chemistry is balanced. Test for pH, alkalinity, chlorine, and other key factors to keep the water safe and clear.

Pool filters should be cleaned every 2 weeks over summer and up to 4 weeks during winter, depending on how frequently the pool is used. If the pool sees heavy use or is surrounded by trees, you may need to clean it more often.

Cloudy pool water can be caused by improper chemical balance, filter issues, or debris buildup. Testing the water and ensuring your filter is working correctly can help resolve this issue.

Green water is usually a sign of algae growth, which can happen if the pool’s sanitiser level is too low. To fix it, shock the pool with extra chlorine, scrub the walls, and run the filter to clear it up.

Regular cleaning, maintaining proper chemical balance, and ensuring your pool filter is working efficiently can help prevent algae. Using algaecide can also provide extra protection.

Regular maintenance includes checking for leaks, ensuring the pump is running efficiently, and keeping an eye on your filter and skimmer baskets. Always make sure your equipment is running smoothly to prevent damage.

Even in the winter, regular cleaning and proper winterizing are important. Make sure to cover your pool, clean it, and balance the water chemistry to keep things in good condition

The best way to maintain your pool’s chlorine levels is to regularly add chlorine—either through tablets, liquid chlorine, or by maintaining proper salt levels if you have a saltwater chlorinator. Be sure to test your chlorine levels frequently to ensure they stay within the recommended range. It’s also a good idea to shock the pool periodically to keep the water clear, clean, and free from contaminants.
